The Holy Land Mint was established in 2014 but its roots go back to 1958 with the inception of the Israel Coins and Medals Corp. This corporation was created by Israel’s first prime minister to commemorate the milestone and historical events of the country. The corporation became privatized in 2008 but pledged to uphold the character it displayed since the 1950s.
